Directions

Directions from Diss, along the A143

It's the A143 nearly the whole way, then a short run on the A14. The top of Tut Hill is closed, so please come in this way round. If your sat nav suggests a different way, follow these directions. From Diss:

1Pick up the A143 heading south-west, signed for Bury St Edmunds.
2Stay on the A143 for about 20 miles. It's a country road most of the way, passing Botesdale, Stanton and Ixworth, then running through Great Barton.
3After Great Barton you reach the edge of Bury St Edmunds. Follow the signs for the A14 towards Newmarket and Cambridge.
4Join the A14 heading west, towards Newmarket and Cambridge.
5Leave the A14 at the Fornham All Saints slip road.
6Go straight over the double roundabout.
7Carry on past the new housing estate.
8Turn left at the third roundabout.
9Turn left again at the mini roundabout, onto Tut Hill. The shop is along it.

Worth the trip

What makes the drive from Diss worthwhile

You won't do 24 miles for a bag of food. You might for the animals.

Reef keepers on the Norfolk side come to us because we're an authorised TMC stockist: as well as what's in the shop, we can order in from TMC's range of marine fish, corals and inverts, and we stock marine salt or mixed saltwater and RO water. Pond keepers make the same trip for koi and coldwater fish and pond supplies.

Then there's the reptile side. Bearded dragons, geckos, royal pythons, corn snakes, tortoises and more, plus the vivariums, heating and UVB to keep them properly. Read up on reptiles first, then come and see them in person.

Tropical and aquarium

Tropical fish and aquarium supplies near Diss

Freshwater tanks are well looked after too. We keep tropical fish, live plants, shrimp and snails, and the aquarium equipment to run a tank well, from Juwel and Fluval tanks to filters, heaters and lighting. We offer water testing in the shop.

If you're starting from scratch, cycle the tank before any fish go in, and bring your questions. Nobody here minds a long chat.
